About Us
For the past 25 year, since 1995, ‘T.J Dolphins Swim School’ has been at the heart of swimming in Wigan.
Having taught thousands of children how to swim, we have established ourselves as the best ‘learn to swim’ programme in the area and we operate at ‘St Wilfrids C Of E Primary Academy’ in Standish, which has the perfect pool for our swimming lessons.
With T.J Dolphins, you can expect high-quality lessons form experienced and trained teachers; all teachers possess a ‘Level 2 Swim Teaching Certificate’ and enhanced DBS check as well as regular training and professional development.
The Team
Harry comes from a family of swimming teachers, including his mother, Tina, who was the previous director at T.J Dolphins. Harry worked at T.J Dolphins in 2015 as a swim teacher whilst pursuing a career as a professional jazz musician. Harry learnt to swim at T.J Dolphins when he was a child!
Charlotte first started working for T.J Dolphins 8 years ago: initially as a receptionist and then becoming the manager. In the meantime, Charlotte has been working as a professional marketer in the Fashion sector and also learnt to swim at T.J Dolphins when she was a child!

Shona - Manager & Swim Teacher
Shona has been working for T.J Dolphins for 6 years, in which time she has shown parents and swimmers how committed she is to making swimming lessons as fun and productive as possible.
Julie - Receptionist
T.J Dolphins are thrilled to have Julie as a new member of our team – being the smiley and positive person that she is, she’s the perfect person to welcome our swimmers through the door.
Ellie - Swim Teacher
Whilst Ellie may be a new face to some, Ellie has been involved with the business for 3 years, firstly as a receptionist before qualifying as a swim teacher. Ellie will be teaching all of Laura’s (her sister!) classes whilst Laura is on maternity leave. Ellie’s upbeat manner and games makes her very popular with our swimmers.
Abbas - Swim Teacher
T.J Dolphins welcomes Abbas to the teaching team. Abbas started teaching swimming 8 years ago after representing Pakistan in the ‘World Swimming Championships’. He is very keen to use his passion to motivate our swimmer and we’re very exited to have him on board.
